REHDA Melaka committee members led by the Chairman Datuk Ng Choon Koon paid a courtesy visit to YB Datuk Zaidi Bin Attan, the newly appointed Melaka State EXCO of Housing, Local Government and Environment on 10 December 2021 at Mudzaffar Hotel, Melaka. The visit cum engagement session aimed to congratulate YB Datuk Zaidi Bin Attan being appointed as the new State EXCO of Housing, Local Government and Environment and to deliberate on pertinent matters related to housing and property industry.
Issues raised during the engagement session focused on the proposed new Dasar Perumahan Negeri Melaka which include the following:
• Appeal on the proposal of 70% Bumiputera Quota allocation policy.
• No selling price restriction on free market category property.
• Appeal to review the Planning Guidelines & Standards of Melaka (Garis Panduan dan Piawaian Perancangan Negeri Melaka (GPP)’s requirement, such as restrictions on minimum lot size, the requirement of computing the min built-up area excluding car porch.
• To review the Bumiputera Quota Unit Release Mechanism & levy for the release of the unsold Bumiputera quota units.

REHDA Melaka paid a courtesy visit on the Yang Dipertua Majlis Perbandaran Jasin (MPJ), YBhg. Datin Sapiah Binti Haron at her office at MPJ on 22 April 2021. The visit aimed to establish closer rapport and cooperation between REHDA Melaka and MPJ while updating each other on the latest developments. Also present include Secretary of MPJ Tn. Muhammad Zahiruddin Bin Mohd Zahari, Planning Department Cik Shamsidah Binti Ismail, Engineering Department Tn Hj, Zainuddin Bin Samad, Landscape Department Tn Hj Kamaludin Bin Othman, Building Control Department Ir Mohammad Hiriddin Bin Hisham and OSC Unit Pn Yuhasni Binti Yaakup.
Some issues raised and discussed include:-
1. Clarification on the scope of work between landscape department & planner.
2. Requirement of slope analysis report during pre-consult stage for all projects in Jasin.
3. Kebenaran Merancang (KM) validity's issue.
4. Proposal to allow exemption of open space by contribution for small project below 3 acres in Melaka.
The session adjourned with both parties committed to work together closely and a note of thanks to the Chair and all present.

REHDA Melaka HOC-MAPEX 2021 conducted under Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) SOPs was held successfully from 6 to 11 April 2021 at AEON Mall Bandaraya Melaka. The 6 days event took part by 13 private developers, 2 government agencies & 1 banker. 2,197 units with total value of RM972 million of HOC properties were being showcased to potential house buyers.
REHDA Melaka was delighted to have YB Datuk Seri Hj. Ghafaar Bin Atan, State EXCO of Housing, who representing YAB Chief Minister of Melaka to officiate the closing ceremony of Melaka HOC-MAPEX 2021 and launching ceremony of REHDA Melaka FB-E-Properties Advertisement on 11 April 2021. Branch Chairman Datuk Ng Choon Koon took the opportunity handed over REHDA Melaka’s appeal letter to YB Datuk Seri Hj Ghafaar on the new State Housing Policy for the State Government kind consideration.
YB Datuk Seri Hj Ghafaar accompanied by REHDA Melaka Committee Members also paid a visit to all participants’ booths after the launching ceremony.

Delegation of REHDA Melaka led by the branch Chairman Datuk Ng Choon Koon paid a courtesy visit on YAB Datuk Seri Utama (Dr.) Haji Sulaiman Bin Md Ali Chief Minister of Melaka at Seri Negeri Ayer Keroh Melaka. Deliberated on many issues related to housing industry which include Dasar Perumahan Negeri Melaka, Development Charge, new water storage requirement of Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad, issue related to Development Order's validity, etc. Thank you YAB Datuk Seri Utama for taking the time to listen REHDA Melaka concerns and then suggest the remedy.

The Committee Members, led by the Branch Chairman Datuk Ng Choon Koon, paid a courtesy visit to the State Director of Valuation, Sr Zulkefili Bin Abd Rahman on 20 October 2020 at the State Valuation and Property Services Department of Malaysia (JPPH Melaka) Office in Ayer Keroh Melaka.
The delegation was warmly received by the State Director and some senior valuation officers of JPPH Melaka.
The focus of the visit was to strengthen the existing relationship between JPPH Melaka and REHDA Melaka.
During the meeting, Sr Zulkefili advised developers to provide detailed info on the proposal of project development to the State Land & Mines Department either during application for change in category of land use or re-alienation of land for premium or property selling price determination. If the application is submitted with correct and complete information, will ease JPPH to report a more accurate valuation to the State Land & Mines Department.
