On 30 June 2020, REHDA Melaka paid a courtesy call on the new Chief Executive Officer of SAMB, Tn Abdul Rashid Bin Ab Rahman with an objective to strengthen both parties’ relationship and cooperation. Tn Abdul Rashid thanked REHDA Melaka Chairman and Committee Members for this courtesy visit which he believed that it will benefit developers of REHDA Melaka and SAMB. Tn Abdul Rashid also briefed on the state’s water supply challenges. Among issues discussed were SAMB new requirement on elevated water tank and suction, tapping point, SAMB registered plumber, and etc.

REHDA Melaka led by the Chairman Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua paid a courtesy call on the Yang Dipertua of Majlis Perbandaran Hang Tuah Jaya (MPHTJ) Tn Shadan Bin Othman on 26 June 2020 at YDP’s office in MPHTJ. The visit aimed to establish closer rapport between REHDA Melaka and MPHTJ besides updating both parties on the latest developments and movements.

REHDA Melaka kicked off the year 2020 with a half day briefing session on smart city and Maxis fiber with the collaboration of Maxis. The briefing session held on 25 February 2020 started with the welcome remarks of REHDA Melaka Chairman Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua.
The briefing session was facilitated by two experts from Maxis, namely Mr Syed Othman Syed Salim, Head of Maxis Smart Cities and Security and Mr Shanon Rao, Fiber Expansion and Coverage Planning Specialist of Maxis. The informative briefing centered on the following topics: -
i) Connectivity within a smart city
ii) Smart city solution domains and platforms
iii) Smart security for residences, commercial buildings and malls
iv) Track and trace solutions covering vehicle and asset tracking, and worker management
v) Building of the smart city ecosystem
vi) Maxis fiber

REHDA Malaysia, jointly with REHDA Melaka had conducted an engaging and fruitful REHDA Members’ Day Cum Outreach Programme 2019 on 5 November 2019 at the Straits Ballroom of Holiday Inn Melaka.
The full day outreach programme provided a platform for members of REHDA Melaka, REHDA Johor and REHDA Negeri Sembilan to obtain latest update and information related to housing industry. The event was well attended by about 190 participants including Yang Dipertua of Majlis Perbandaran Jasin Tn Mustaffa Bin Ali, government officials, lawyers, consultants, bankers, architects, engineers, valuers, surveyor and members of the press. YB Damian Yeo Shen Li, Melaka State Assemblyman For Duyong had attended the event as the Guest of Honour of REHDA.
The outreach programme was steered by ten speakers, namely Pn Caroline Mariam Aeries, Encik Izhairil Jufri and Mr Krishna Perumal of Ministry of Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government (KPKT), Encik Mohd Salleh Hamidon of Lembaga Perumahan Melaka, Encik Azizi Ali of Cagamas Berhad, Encik Dahari Mat Siran of Hager Engineering, Datuk Hj Muztaza Mohamad, Dato’ Rick Cheng and Datuk Ng Seing Liong of REHDA Malaysia and Ir Aswin Thurairajah of GreenRE.
