On 14 August 2023, Datuk Ng Choon Koon, Chairman of REHDA Melaka paid a courtesy visit to YBhg Datuk Hj Shadan Bin Hj Othman, the Mayor of Melaka Historical City Council.

During the brief visit, Datuk Ng and Datuk Shadan exchanged views on the project development for the benefit of Melaka housing and property community. Also present were Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua, Datuk Harold Ong and Mr Alan Tee.

It's time to bowl and roll! The REHDA Melaka Friendly Bowling Day is back after a hiatus of more than 5 years.

Held at the Melaka International Bowling Center (MIBC), the REHDA Melaka Friendly Bowling Tournament 2023 was organized on 12 August 2023, and saw an impressive number of 23 teams with 92 participants, including REHDA Melaka members and officers from state government departments. The event aimed to foster networking and closer rapport among the participants. This was also opportunity for participants to showcase their bowling skills and champion striker moves, as everyone played hard and competitively to win attractive prizes.

On 4 August 2023, REHDA Melaka Chairman Datuk Ng Choon Koon and Committee Members paid a courtesy call on Jasin Municipal Council (MPJ) President Tn Rosemanizam bin Mohammed Nalif which aimed to foster closer ties between MPJ and REHDA Melaka.

President of Jasin Municipal Council, Tn Rosemanizam acknowledged and welcomed REHDA Melaka Committee Members visit to MPJ. He also thanked Jasin developers for their cooperation and investment of project development in Jasin region. Several ideas and topics were discussed and shared during the meeting.

Those attended include MPJ Senior Officers Tpr Shamsidah Binti Ismail, Ir Mohammad Hiriddin bin Hisham, REHDA Committees Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua, Ms Jojo Gwee, Datuk Sonny Tay, Datuk Harold Ong, Mr Alan Tee and Mr Joe Poh.

REHDA Melaka 1st MAPEX 2023 was held from 18 to 21 July 2023 at AEON Mall Bandaraya Melaka successfully. Lembaga Perumahan Melaka, PR1MA, 20 developers and Bank Islam took part in the 6 days exhibition to promote more than 3,700 units of various type of property with total sales value of RM1.42 billion.

REHDA Melaka was glad to have YB Datuk Rais Bin Datuk Wira Yasin the Melaka State Senior Executive Council (EXCO Kanan) of Housing, Local Government, Drainage, Climate Change and Disaster Management who representing YAB Chief Minister of Melaka to deliver the opening speech and to officiate the opening ceremony held on 21 July 2023. Also present were YB Zulkiflee Bin Mohd Zin State Deputy EXCO of Housing, Local Government, Drainage, Climate Change and Disaster Management, Datuk Shadan Bin Othman Mayor of Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah, Tn Salleh Bin Hamidom Executive Director of Lembaga Perumahan Melaka, Datuk Ng Choon Koon Branch Chairman, Datuk Ngoh Chun How Branch MAPEX Organizing Chairman and Branch Committees.

REHDA Melaka Committee Members led by Datuk Ng Choon Koon the Branch Chairman were delighted to pay a courtesy call on YB Datuk Rais Bin Datuk Wira Yasin Senior Member of the Melaka State Executive Council (EXCO) of Housing, Local Government, Drainage, Climate Change and Disaster Management on 11 July 2023 at Seri Negeri Melaka.

Both parties deliberated on ideas and issues related to property and housing industry in Melaka for advancing the overall development of Melaka. REHDA Melaka also submitted appeal for the release of completed unsold Malay quota properties and appeal to on-hold and review the implementation of Development Charge on change of zoning, density, plot ratio based on gazette Rancangan Tempatan (rate: 15% of land increase value).

On 25 May 2023, the Melaka Branch of the Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association Malaysia (REHDA Melaka) organized a one-day study visit to Gamuda Cove in Bandar Gamuda Cove, Banting Selangor. This Gamuda Cove Study Visit was an enriching educational trip for REHDA Melaka members and state government officers. It provided a unique opportunity for our group of 48 participants to study Malaysia First 5-Diamond Low Carbon City - Gamuda Cove, developed by Gamuda Land.

We feel immensely privileged and fortunate to have gained new perspectives from this exclusive project. The comprehensive approach taken by Gamuda Land, encompassing energy, urban transport, water, waste management, urban planning, and green building, has inspired us to broaden our horizons and deepen our understanding, encouraging us to think beyond our current limits for the betterment of sustainable development of property and housing industry in Melaka.
