REHDA Melaka Committee Members led by the Branch Chairman Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua paid a courtesy call on the new EXCO of Housing, Local Government and Environment, YB Tey Kok Kiew on 21 May 2018 to congratulate him on the recent appointment as well as to introduce the Branch Committee Members for the 2018-2020 term. The Branch look forward for more regular sessions with the new State Housing Committee to further enhance the housing sector in Melaka.

On 19 April 2018, REHDA Melaka Branch Chairman Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua led a delegation of 14 people paid a courtesy call on Malacca Governor Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Mohd Khalil Bin Yaakob. The main objective of the visit was to introduce the Committee Members and Hon Advisors of REHDA Melaka to the Governor and to share the points of views on the housing and property sector in Melaka. It was an enlightening visit to cement the beginning of a close relationship between Malacca Governor and REHDA Melaka. Special thank you to Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Mohd Khalil Bin Yaakob for the kind hospitality extended to REHDA Melaka during the visit.

A briefing session with Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Mohd Khalil bin Yaakob Malacca Governor on the properties overhang in Melaka issue was held on 20 February 2018 at Office of the Malacca Governor. The main objective of the briefing session was to identify and find win-win solution on the issues of properties overhang in Melaka. Attended by REHDA Melaka, Lembaga Perumahan Melaka, MBMB, MPHTJ, MPJ, MPAG, Valuation and Property Services Department and UPEN.

For the first time REHDA Melaka dan Lembaga Perumahan Melaka has jointly organized the “Ekspo Perumahan dan Hartanah Khas Untuk Bumiputera 2018” which was held from 2 to 4 February 2018 at MYDIN MITC Melaka. The event was launched officially by Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Utama Ir. Hj. Idris Bin Hj. Haron Chief Minister of Melaka.

REHDA Melaka Committee Members and related Hon Advisors visited Majlis Perbandaran Hang Tuah Jaya on 18 January 2018 as to discuss and to understand better on the new green initiative imposed by MPHTJ with effective from 1 January 2018.

According to Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua Chairman of REHDA Melaka, this special exposition aimed to be a one-stop centre for Bumiputera purchasers to find their dream homes as well as to assist members of REHDA Melaka to promote their completed unsold Bumiputera quota units. Lembaga Perumahan Melaka and 21 developers participated in the special exposition promoting more than 2,492 units of residential and commercial properties in Melaka.

REHDA Melaka Committee Members and related Hon Advisors visited Majlis Perbandaran Hang Tuah Jaya on 18 January 2018 as to discuss and to understand better on the new green initiative imposed by MPHTJ with effective from 1 January 2018. The meeting was chaired by YDP Datuk Tpr. Hj. Murad Bin Hj Husin and attended by Jabatan Kawalan Bangunan, Jabatan Perancang Bandar, Jabatan Lanskap, Jabatan Kejuruteraan, Unit Pusat Setempat (OSC) & Unit Teknologi Hijau. YDP Datuk Tpr. Hj. Murad commented that MPHTJ welcomes consultants/developers to propose and apply any other method on building design that can help mitigate the effects of the urban heat island and helping Melaka state in becoming a sustainable low carbon city.
