REHDA Melaka Branch held a meeting with the Pengarah Pejabat Tanah & Galian Melaka (PTG Melaka) Datuk Zaidi Bin Johari on 16 October 2018, 9.30 am at Bilik Mesyuarat Intan, Wisma Negeri Melaka. The meeting was held to obtain further clarification on Jawatankuasa Pecah Sempadan dan Belah Bahagi Negeri Melaka’s policies (JKBB) endorsed on 6 August 2018, which includes: –
• Appeal on the Selling Price of Development Unit
• Endorsement of Layout Plan & Pre-computation Plan by Local Authority
Datuk Zaidi Johari agreed on REHDA Melaka’s proposal to review the 12 months restriction on 1st appeal application to 6 months and to allow developer to write in to PTG requesting for a discussion regarding appeal application between JPPH and developer after 1st JKBB approval for further decision on appeal application.
The meeting also deliberated on industry issues and concerns faced by developers such as the Bumiputera quota requirements, property selling price control’s issue, land conversion premium for affordable housing, definition of “Melayu” under Melaka State Government for Kod A unit’s buyer and etc. Datuk Zaidi informed that the State Government is now reviewing, developing and formulating “Dasar Perumahan Negeri Melaka”. He will seek REHDA Melaka’s views and opinions on the draft policy once such draft is ready.
Four senior officials of PTG Melaka also attended the meeting chaired by Pengarah PTG Melaka. The Branch Chairman Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua led a delegation comprising 9 committee members and advisors to the said meeting.
The Branch will continue to work closely with PTG Melaka to enhance closer cooperation, interaction and better understanding between REHDA Melaka and PTG Melaka.
