Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) Melaka organized a Townhall Smart Strategic Business Partnership for REHDA Melaka members and developers in Melaka on supply offering solutions talk on 11 June 2024 at Menara TNB MITC. Puan Mariati binti Che Omar (Head of Retail State, Retail Division Melaka) officiated the briefing session. The event was attended by a total of 60 participants, including members of REHDA Melaka, M&E Consultants, and developers.
Courtesy visit to Lembaga Perumahan Melaka (LPM) led by Branch Chairperson Datuk Ngoh Chun How which aimed at fostering closer relationship between REHDA Melaka and LPM was held on 31 May 2024. The meeting was chaired by the Executive Director of Lembaga Perumahan Melaka Datuk Tpr Hj. Murad Bin Hj. Husin. Several topic & idea which include view on Garis Panduan & Piawaian Perancangan Negeri Melaka were discussed during the meeting for the betterment of housing industry in Melaka.
On 11 May 2024, REHDA Melaka successfully held the REHDA Melaka Exclusive Networking & Get-Together Night 2024 which was well attended by 270 members and distinguished guests, which include all past chairmen of REHDA Melaka. This exclusive event, aimed to empower fellow members and all related housing industry players through the exclusive networking sessions. This event was not only a testament to the collective strength as an association but also an opportunity for all to foster closer ties and strengthen working relationship. Participants had the opportunity to connect, collaborate and share experiences, creating a supportive housing community.
REHDA Melaka Annual General Meeting was held successfully on 10 May 20024 at REHDA Melaka Office. REHDA Melaka names Datuk Ngoh Chun How of NKS Development Sdn Bhd as Branch Chairperson and Datuk Seri Poh Geok Seng of PB Realty Sdn Bhd as Deputy Chairperson for term 2024/2026 on the same day after REHDA Melaka elected its new committee members at the meeting.
An engagement session between TNB Melaka and REHDA Melaka chaired by Tn Khairizam Ibrahim, Head of Customer Services Melaka, Retail Division, TNB was held on 3 April 2024 to discuss on issues related to TNB supply, street lighting application, and etc.
A waste management company SWM Environment had paid a courtesy visit to REHDA Melaka to introduce their recycling initiatives to the Branch Committee Members as well to foster closer collaboration between SWM and REHDA Melaka members.

During the session, TNB representatives presented the following topics:
1. Experiencing Digitalization through myTNB Apps & Portal: This topic discussed the benefits and features of the myTNB digital platform, which offers convenient services and tools for TNB customers.
2. Supply Offerings: This topic covered the different supply offerings provided by TNB, including various packages and options to meet the energy needs of businesses and developers.
3. Supply Application Process & Pre-Commissioning Inspection & Testing (PIAT): TNB provided insights into the application process for obtaining a supply connection, as well as the procedural of pre-commissioning inspection and testing for ensuring the reliability and safety of the electrical infrastructure.
4. Beyond kWh – Solar Solution: This topic explored TNB's solar solutions and discussed the benefits of renewable energy sources, encouraging participants to consider sustainable and environmentally friendly energy options.
5. Energy Transition & Malaysia Energy Literacy Program (MELP): TNB shared information about the energy transition and its impact on the industry. The MELP was also briefed, showcasing TNB's efforts in promoting the usage of electricity for various applications.
Throughout the Townhall event, participants had the opportunity to learn and engage with TNB representatives, gaining valuable insights on the topics presented and exploring potential business partnerships in the energy sector. REHDA Melaka would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to General Manager of TNB Melaka Tn Khairizam Ibrahim for graciously hosting the event and look forward to future collaborations with TNB Melaka.

The highlight of the event was the installation ceremony of the new lineup of the newly elected REHDA Melaka Committee Members for term 2024 to 2026 under the chairmanship of Datuk Ngoh Chun How, witnessed by YBhg Datuk Kesavan P Krishan, REHDA Melaka Hon Advisor. REHDA Melaka Exemplary Award also being honored to Mr Chee Siang Oy and Mr Tay Sin Wah for their 30 and 40 years of active involvement in REHDA Melaka respectively.

The newly elected Chairperson Datuk Ngoh Chun How thanked Datuk Ng Choon Koon, who led the association with utmost dedication towards the betterment of the industry for the past four years and for what he has achieved for REHDA Melaka members and for the industry in spite of the pandemic.

An engagement session between TNB Melaka and REHDA Melaka chaired by Tn Khairizam Ibrahim, Head of Customer Services Melaka, Retail Division, TNB was held on 3 April 2024 to discuss on issues related to TNB supply, street lighting application, and etc.
It was an enlightening meeting, and we hope that the meeting will address some of members' issues for the betterment of the state housing and property industry.

A waste management company SWM Environment had paid a courtesy visit to REHDA Melaka to introduce their recycling initiatives to the Branch Committee Members as well to foster closer collaboration between SWM and REHDA Melaka members.
During the discussion, Pn Nurul Liza binti Mohd Najib, the company Manager of Corporate Communications and Government Affairs, briefed attendees on their incentive-based programe called KITARecycle programme for recycling initiative across the three southern states in Malaysia, namely Johor, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan. The proramme is a reward recycling program aims to motivate people to engage in recycling activities and earn reward points, which may then be exchanged for cash via online banking.
SWM is inviting developers in Melaka to collaborate with SWM to become “SWM Strategic Partners” to provide and set up recycling facilities, namely the KITARecycle Drive-Thru Center or rumah KITARecycle in residential areas. With the establishment of recycling facilities, it is expected that the recycling rate of waste materials will significantly increase, reducing the amount of waste entering landfills.
