REHDA Melaka final MAPEX for the year 2017 was held from 31 October to 5 November 2017 at the AEON Bandaraya Melaka, bringing the offerings of REHDA Melaka members and PR1MA to housebuyers at a convenient one stop centre.

Ghani on 11 August 2017 at his office. Led by the Branch Chairman Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua, the delegation was joined by the Most Recent Past Chairman Datuk Gwee Yew Kiat, Hon Secretary Mr Ngoh Chun How, Hon Advisor Datuk Ir Othman Abdul Rahim and Mr Lau Soon Watt.

On 23 September 2017, Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia Melaka Branch (REHDA Melaka) organized its first friendly bowling tournament at Melaka International Bowling Centre, Ayer Keroh Melaka. Aimed at further enriching the already friendly relations between REHDA members and committee members as well as to foster solidarity amongst REHDA members & government officers.
A total of 15 teams (60 bowlers) were formed and 3 games were players. Total individual score will determine the top male and female players and the top three best teams with the highest scores.
After stunning matches, Team Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah, composed of En Fahmi Umar, En Saman, Mr Jasan Syaw & En Farhan Afiz, won the bowling tournament group champion. Pn Nurhanita Binti Mohamed Hamdan of Majlis Perbandaran Alor Gajah and En Farhan Afiz of Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah were the Top Female and Male Scorers, respectively.

The prize presentation ceremony was officially started with a welcome speech by the Organizing Chairperson Mr Tay Sin Wah and a remarkable speech by REHDA Melaka Most Recent Past Chairman Datuk Gwee Yew Kiat. The Organizing Chairperson extended his deepest thanks to all participants and all sponsors for making this bowling a resounding success.

Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia Melaka Branch (REHDA Melaka) conducted a study visit cum product talk with Acotec to learn IBS alternatives to benefit members’ project development. The event has successfully brought up to 23 participants.
Upon arrival at the assembly point, REHDA Melaka delegates were being warmly received by the two young and dynamic of Acotec personnel who purposely drove down from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka, to accompany all delegates to Acotec factory in Nilai.
The tour started with a product talk on Acotec Green IBS Wall Panel and Acobuild System steered by Mr Phoon Yin Han Senior, Technical Engineer of Acotec. REHDA Melaka were fortunate to have Mr Tan Kheak Chun, Chief Executive Officer of Acotec for his knowledge & experience sharing on the latest projects applied with Acotec Green IBS Wall Panel and Acobuild System in term on construction cost, completion duration, etc. The plant visit also offered all delegates a better understanding on the production processes of Acotec wall panel.
After the scrumptious lunch hosted by Acotec, delegates proceeded to the Shaftsbury at Putrajaya for site visit to view the installation of Acotec wall panel and how its ease the M & E works and how wall tiles can be fixed directly at its surface.
The study visit cum product talk with Acotec ended with a group photo posing and REHDA Melaka profound appreciation to Acotec for hosting REHDA Melaka members such an enlightening study visit in the record book of REHDA Melaka.

The courtesy call was held to convey REHDA Melaka hearty greetings to him on the new appointment as well as to continue foster closer rapport and good working relationship with the JKR Melaka, particularly in addressing issues and challenges concerning road development in the State.
The director thanked REHDA Melaka for the visit and viewed that this kind of engagement will enhance better understanding and ideas sharing between both parties for the benefit of the state. He look forward to continue deliberation on challenges and feedback faced by private developers in next discussion session.

A delegation from Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia Melaka Branch (REHDA Melaka), on 8 August 2017 paid a courtesy call on Tn Zaidi Bin Johari, new director of Land & Mines Department Melaka.
The director welcomed the visit led by the Chairman, Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua and the association efforts in fostering good ties between government department and private sectors. Tn Zaidi also informed all that PTG Melaka have an open door policy and always welcome discussion with all industry players on matters of interest or concern related to all. PTG Melaka will assist to extend all necessary cooperation to all industry players within their scope and state policies.
Dato’ Sri Ngoh appreciated the open door policy implied by PTG Melaka and viewed that its will ease industry players to solicit feedback and seek professional counsel on their project development.
The two parties also discussed ideas and possible ways of deepening the collaboration between PTG Melaka and developers, including understanding on processes related to land development, appeal for the release of overhang unsold Bumiputera quota units, property selling price cap, E-Tanah matters, JUPEM2U matters, etc.
In order to ensure all concerns are dealt with effectively, Tn Zaidi hoping REHDA Melaka to make suggestions in writing related to land development in Melaka as enable PTG Melaka to take note on feedback from the industry players and making proper presentation for the review of state government.

On 2 August 2017, Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia Melaka Branch (REHDA Melaka) made a courtesy call on YBhg Hj Ismail Bin Hj Hasim Yang Dipertua of Majlis Perbandaran Alor Gajah, Melaka. The visit was made to foster ties between REHDA Melaka members and MPAG.
YDP Hj Ismail shared his viewpoints on the prospect of development in Alor Gajah with REHDA Melaka delegation. Both parties also discussed and exchange ideas on the challenges related to the housing and property development in Alor Gajah, which include OSC procedural, method of deposit payment to Local Authorities in Melaka, Planning Approval, technical comments during OSC meeting, etc. MPAG acknowledged ideas and problems faced by REHDA Melaka members and will extend their help within scope.
