A courtesy call was organized on Tuan Abdul Hakim Bin Hamzah, the newly appointed Director of Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran Melaka on 29 October 2018 at his office at Wisma Negeri, Melaka.
The opening ceremony of “Ekspo Perumahan dan Hartanah Khas Untuk Bumiputera Ke-2 Tahun 2018” jointly organized by Lembaga Perumahan Melaka and REHDA Melaka was held on 26 October 2018 at AEON Bandaraya Melaka.

REHDA Melaka Branch held a meeting with the Pengarah Pejabat Tanah & Galian Melaka (PTG Melaka) Datuk Zaidi Bin Johari on 16 October 2018, 9.30 am at Bilik Mesyuarat Intan, Wisma Negeri Melaka. The meeting was held to obtain further clarification on Jawatankuasa Pecah Sempadan dan Belah Bahagi Negeri Melaka’s policies (JKBB) endorsed on 6 August 2018, which including: -
REHDA Melaka with the collaboration of SAM conducted a briefing session on “How Big Data Impacting the Real Estate Industry” on 4 September 2018 at REHDA Melaka Conference Hall. The 1st session on “How Big Data Impacting the Real Estate Industry” was steered by Mr Jarrod Teo, Data Scientist/ Director of Catalytic Datum from Singapore. While Mr MC Teng Director of SAM shared with the 24 participants on salient features and advantages of SAM - Sales, Analysis, Marketing’s product. It was a fruitful talk, where participants garnered beneficial new knowledge on leveraging clod computing technology & cutting edge software design of a property sales platform.

A courtesy call was organized on Tuan Abdul Hakim Bin Hamzah, the newly appointed Director of Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran Melaka on 29 October 2018 at his office at Wisma Negeri, Melaka. The objective of the visit was to establish closer rapport and cooperation between REHDA Melaka and JPS Melaka while updating each other on the latest developments and to foster effective interaction.

Kawasan lapang & On Site Detention (OSD)’s matter
Drainage and final discharge point’s requirement
Detailed drawing request during planning approval stage (Kebenaran Merancang)
Tuan Abdul Hakim commented all the matters highlighted are mainly based on JPS’s Policy. However, he will consider to assist developers on their project development within his scope of works.

The opening ceremony of “Ekspo Perumahan dan Hartanah Khas Untuk Bumiputera Ke-2 Tahun 2018” jointly organized by Lembaga Perumahan Melaka and REHDA Melaka was held on 26 October 2018 at AEON Bandaraya Melaka. Officiated by YB Tuan Gue Teck, the State Assemblyman for Klebang, who represented YAB Tn Adly Bin Zahari, Chief Minister of Melaka.
The objective of Bumiputera Mapex is to encourage bumiputera homeownership through provision of a platform for property developers to showcase the completed unsold Bumiputera units for Bumiputera buyers who are looking for properties with the collaboration of Lembaga Perumahan Melaka. Over 933 units of completed unsold Bumiputera properties were showcased during the six-day expo held from 23 to 28 October 2018 at AEON Bandaraya Melaka.

REHDA Melaka organized a study visit to Setia Alam, Selangor on 25 October 2018. 56 delegates comprising of 27 members, 3 advisors and 26 officers from Jabatan Perancang Bandar & Desa, Lembaga Perumahan Melaka, Majlis Perbandaran Jasin, Majlis Perbandaran Alor Gajah and Majlis Perbandaran Hang Tuah Jaya took part in the tour.
The delegates visited three of Selangor’s prominent and green projects developed by SP Setia:
S P Setia Bhd Corp HQ – Green Building Index (GBI) Platinum rating, making it the first private sector corporate office and only the 3rd building in Malaysia to have achieved this accolade.
Setia Alam - a township located in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. It is accessible via Setia Alam Highway from the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) since the interchange was opened on 14 July 2006. Setia Alam is also accessible from the Federal Highway and Klang via Jalan Meru. It is an integrated development spanning over 4,000 acres (16 km2) of land. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) which had placed restrictions on the establishment of entertainment outlets such as pubs, discos and lottery business.
Setia Eco Park - luxurious living within Nature spread across 791 acres of prime freehold land in Shah Alam, which is located only 40km drive to Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Setia Eco Park is renowned for its scenic landscape. Some 25% of land area has been allocated for the creation of waterways, lakes, creeks, landscape themed parks, lush walkways, and forest park in this private estate just for the enjoyment of its residents. Delegates were fortunate to have the opportunity to understand better regarding the insights of zero lot bungalow and how the company overcome technical challenges faced.
According to Chairman of REHDA Melaka Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua, the study aimed to expose delegates to more green concepts and ideas to Melaka developers in enhancing their project development in Melaka towards sustainable development for the betterment of housing industry in Melaka, and with the opportunity to access to those experts behind these iconic projects developed by SP Setia, definitely can provide REHDA Melaka delegates better understanding about the latest and innovative green projects and in exchanging point of views on challenges faced in project developments.
The tour adjourned with a fellowship lunch hosted by SP Setia Group. A big thank you to SP Setia Group for the kind hospitality extended to all delegates, especially the Executive Vice President of SP Setia Datuk Tan Hon Lim.

REHDA Melaka held her 2nd Friendly Bowling Tournament 2018 at Melaka International Bowling Center on 20 October 2018. The tournament started with all bowlers get together for a group photo with REHDA Melaka Chairman Dato’ Sri Ngoh King Hua before the roll-off.
The annual bowling tournament, which started in 2017 under the initiative of the Head of Sport Sub Committee Mr Tay Sin Wah, is aimed at further enriching the already friendly relations between REHDA Melaka members with the officers of state government agencies.
This year, 13 team were formed composed of 52 members and guest of the government department joined the friendly tournament including one team from REHDA Melaka.
Spiderman Group, composed of Encik Ruztaren Bin Jenal, Encik Azmi Bin Manap, Encik Hazman Bin Abd Rahman and Encik Mazlan Mat Ali, was this year’s group champion. While 1st runner & 2nd runner up were won by Majlis Perbandaran Jasin (Encik Rejab Bin Md Diah, Encik Junaidi Bin Md Kahar, Encik Norhisam Bin Nordin & Encik Hariddin Bin Hisham) and Lembaga Perumahan Melaka (Encik Awanis Bin Nasir, Encik Mashairy Bin Omar, Encik Mohd Faizal Bin Hamzah & Encik Abd Latif Bin Abd Hadi) respectively.
Cik Nur’ Ain Binti Mohd Atar of TNB Melaka and Encik Ruztamren Bin Jenal of Spiderman Group were the Top Female and Male Scorers, respectively.
Winners took home medals and attractive prizes including prizes for best male and female bowlers. All bowlers were later feted to lunch refreshments and a lucky draw session. Overall the event was successful in networking and building closer ties with each other.
